Log 49. Myrtle downer log. An old log recovered from a previously harvested forest. There is some rot and radial cracks at both ends. There is a significant slab off one side, and some spiral grain, as the photos show. It has good colour and should yield some useful timber due to its size. Length 4.5m, butt diameter 80 cm, head diameter 69 cm, volume 1.96 m3, weight about 2160 kg.
