Log 34, Celery-top pine. A large fresh log, curved from end to end and oval shaped at the head end with an off centre heart, so it probably came from a leaning tree. It has one visible bump and a scar underneath but the wood each end is solid. A good quality log likely to produce high quality wood in large dimensions. It should be milled in two lengths for better timber recovery. No visible pin hole borer activity. Length 5.2 metres, butt diameter 64 cm, head diameter 52 cm, volume 1.37 cubic metres, weight about 1500 kg. IST Geeveston could mill this log to your requirements as slabs, boards or squares on their bandsaw mill at $150 per hour, contact Chris Emmett if you have any questions.
