The heartwood at each end is dark and the growth rings are close together - excellent timber quality. It should be milled in two or three lengths for better timber recovery. IST Geeveston could mill this log to order into slabs, squares or boards on their Woodmizer band saw mill at $170 per hour, contact Mr Chris Emmett if you have any questions.
