Log 23, Myrtle

Log 23, Myrtle.  A fresh log with an angular shape, often typical of a butt log, solid wood and only one limb at the head end.   No visible past or current pin hole borer activity.  It could be milled in two pieces and is likely to produce good quality timber with medium myrtle colour.  Length 4.7 metres, butt diameter 57 cm, head diameter 44 cm, volume 0.92 cubic metres, weight about 1000 kg.  IST Geeveston could mill this log to order on their Woodmizer bandsaw mill at $180 per hour, contact chris.emmett@sttas.com.au if you have any questions.
